Gibbs, Lori

Mrs. Lori Gibbs

Hi! I’m Mrs. Lori Gibbs, and this is my fifth year teaching at Northside. I truly love being a part of Panther Nation! Before coming to NHS, I spent 12 years teaching  both Math and Science in the middle grades.

I have three children. Two of them, Maddie and Tate, graduated from Northside and were very active in sports—volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, softball, and track. Maddie is currently attending graduate school at ECU, where she is working on her master’s degree in Security Studies. Tate is playing football at Barton College on a scholarship and is majoring in Sports Management. I also have one precious grandson, Carter, who belongs to my son Ross and his wife Hayley.

In my free time, I enjoy going to ballgames, spending time on the water, or curling up with a good book.

In this class we use Canvas instead of Google Classroom.  Canvas is accessible through NC Ed Cloud. All assignments and notes are posted here.

I offer after school tutoring on Wednesdays until 4:00 and other days by prior arrangement. Do not hesitate to reach out any time with questions or concerns. I am always just an email, text or phone call away.

I’m excited to be your Math teacher this semester and look forward to getting to know each of you!
