Mrs. Connie Gibbs

I have been an educator since 2002 and have had the privilege of working with students across a variety of grade levels and subject areas throughout my career. For fourteen years, I taught Language Arts and Social Studies at both the middle and high school levels, where I developed a deep appreciation for helping students grow as readers, writers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.

Today, as an Instructional Technology and Media Specialist, I have the opportunity to combine my love of education, literacy, and technology. I work alongside students and teachers to explore digital tools and resources that make learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible. I also serve as Chair of the School Improvement Team, collaborating with colleagues to develop initiatives that strengthen our school community and support student success.

I hold a Master’s in Library Science from East Carolina University, as well as a Master’s in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about creating learning experiences that honor the foundations of traditional education while embracing the opportunities that innovation and technology can provide. My goal is always to help students and teachers discover new possibilities, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Most of all, I am proud to be a Northside Panther—because everyone knows Northside is the best side!
